Yellow Fever Vaccination
Start your holiday right with White Hills Medical Practice. If you’re travelling to Africa, the Caribbean, Central or South America, you may be at risk of yellow fever and will need to take precautions to protect yourself.
Why is yellow fever vaccination important?
Yellow fever is a serious viral disease spread by mosquitoes. In severe cases, it can cause jaundice (yellowing of the skin), organ failure, and even death. Because of this risk, yellow fever is a quarantinable disease in Australia. Many countries require proof of vaccination for entry. Without a valid certificate, you may be refused entry or asked to be vaccinated on arrival.
